PUBG Mobile has earned the level of popularity and obsession that hardly any other mobile game ever has. PUBG Mobile has more than 50 million daily users, and despite reports about many young gamers harming themselves or taking their lives after facing defeat, these numbers are ever growing. This popularity has helped Tencent and PUBG Corp reap a monthly revenue of $146 million, making PUBG Mobile (and its Chinese rebranded clone Game for Peace) the highest-grossing mobile game so far. Besides the free-to-play model, the frequent addition of new elements is what has retained players. Now, a major update brings the all-new PvP Team Deathmatch mode, a new Godzilla theme, stricter anti-cheating measures, several other new features.

Foremost, the most exciting addition to the game is the new Team Deathmatch mode which allows users to play 4v4 matches with constant and endless respawning. The 4v4 mode is available under the EvoGround section and can be played in both first-person and third-person perspectives. Of the two teams, whichever takes 40 kills first wins the match. On top of that, players can create custom rooms to play deathmatches with the same team one after another.

If you play in both FPP and TPP, you can now save controls for both the modes separately. There's also a new button for climbing which can be activated in the control settings. Additionally, the top three players in the classic mode or the best performer in the Team Deathmatch mode will get MVP tags at the end of each match along with an MVP pose.

Besides these, a Godzilla theme in the main lobby has been added to the main lobby along with new Godzilla and Ghidorah suits with exclusive emotes. There are certain events and rewards which are meant to promote the franchise as well.

Besides the new mode, the PUBG Mobile 0.13.0 update also brings improvements to the existing modes. First off, any movement – including on foot or in a vehicle – will leave trails on the snow in Vikendi. Secondly, in other EvoGround events such as Survive Till Dawn and Darkest Night, there are four new types of zombies with new abilities. Tanks will increase the power of nearby zombies while skinners will slow the players down. Further, using Liquid Nitrogen grenade will leave behind a trail of freezing smoke on the ground, slowing down movement. Additionally, the police station in the zombie modes has been replaced by a new factory.

Apart from these, there are several improvements to inventory management with new option to combine items in batches as well as better sorting of items. There are several improvements in animations during gameplay along with the option to choose if a teammate loses merit if you are killed by friendly fire. Furthermore, the timings of Arcade mode events has been restricted to Mondays and Wednesdays for Sniper Training & War, and Tuesday and Thursday for Mini-Zone & Quick Match. All of the events are available from Friday through Sunday.

Lastly, there are new Charisma ratings for the items you collect and new achievements for 4v4 matches.
