Custom recoveries provide numerous opportunities for users to customize and make the best out of their Android devices. The Realme 3 Pro comes as a bold competitor to Xiaomi’s Redmi Note 7 Pro. The smartphone puts up an intriguing case with its Snapdragon 710 chipset, 4045mAh battery with 20W VOOC 3.0 fast charging, up to 6GB RAM with chances of getting an 8GB variant soon, dual cameras with a decent night mode. The only peeve about the smartphone that may put off users is its ColorOS, the custom Android skin which Realme borrows from OPPO. Since the Realme 3 Pro comes with Day-1 bootloader unlocking and already has its kernel sources public, the official availability of TWRP should finally complete the package and allow users to make the best of available custom ROMs and other mods.

The OnePlus 7, on the other hand, may have not the same amount of acclaim or attention as the OnePlus 7 Pro but it comes with the same processing power. With Snapdragon 855, a 48MP primary camera, stereo speakers, and a glass design similar the OnePlus 6T, the OnePlus 7 comes at with a more practical pricing and appears to be a truer bearer of the “flagship killer” title. OnePlus has also been one of the favorite brands for the developer community and the availability of official TWRP should help users cherish the contributions of the community to the fullest.
