Realme has made decent progress in the Indian market, offering some much-appreciated competitive options for users who don't want to buy a Xiaomi smartphone but still wanted to buy a phone that had high value for its price. Devices like the Realme 5 and the Realme 5 Pro offered quad-camera setups for users on a budget, while the Realme XT offered a 64MP camera option while still maintaining affordability. Realme devices are very good value for the money, but the software on the phones may not be everyone's cup of tea. ColorOS has its fans, but a lot many users would prefer jumping away to a cleaner UX while Realme's software matures. With the same thought process in mind, users of the Realme 5 Pro and the Realme XT can now rejoice, as unofficial TWRP and LineageOS 16 builds are now available for the phones, respectively.

Unofficial TWRP for the Realme 5 Pro

The Realme 5 Pro now gets an unofficial build of TWRP. We do not see any bugs listed on the main thread post, as the build works well for the specific device. The builds do represent potential for the device to have a good community behind it in the future, using this custom recovery as the means to enable other modifications.

Unofficial LineageOS 16 for the Realme XT and Realme 5 Pro

The Realme XT now has its own forums at XDA, giving users a common area for consolidated discussion specific to this device. The phone has also received an unofficial build of LineageOS 16, finally giving users an alternative if they really disliked ColorOS. The ROM does have issues with permissive SELinux and a broken fingerprint sensor, but you can try it out if you really need the alternative.
