The Realme 6 Pro offers some solid specifications, such as the Qualcomm Snapdragon 720G SoC, up to 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM, and up to 128GB of UFS 2.1 storage at a very attractive price tag. The device packs in a 90Hz hole-punch display while sporting a 4,300mAh battery with support for 30W fast charging. On the software side, the phone runs Realme UI based on Android 10 out of the box. The company has already released the kernel source for the device to comply with the GNU General Public License v2, but aftermarket development is largely impossible without an unlocked bootloader.

Just like most other Realme phones, the bootloader of the Realme 6 Pro must be validated before unlocking using a unique device-specific unlock app (commonly referred to as "In-Depth Test"). Despite not being officially available yet, the community has managed to get their hands on the Realme 6 Pro's bootloader unlock app, courtesy of XDA Member barakcodam, and XDA Member Rizezky.

Thanks to the presence of the kernel source and an unlocked bootloader, XDA Member nullxception has also compiled an unofficial build of TWRP for the device. Based on TWRP 3.3.1, the current build is tested on the RMX2061 variant of the smartphone. Users can decrypt the "data" partition and flash stock Realme UI update packages (OZIP) though this TWRP, albeit formatting existing partitions is not supported at this point. Do note that Realme does not provide a flash tool, so exercise caution.
