Samsung has a broad smartphone portfolio, which can be roughly classified under Galaxy S series (flagship phones), Galaxy A series (mid-range phones), and Galaxy J series (budget phones). Samsung’s 2018 flagship announcements are already in the rear mirror with the launches of the Samsung Galaxy S9, Galaxy S9+, and the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. With respect to the Galaxy A series, Samsung has so far announced the Galaxy A8 and the Galaxy A8+, the Galaxy A6 and Galaxy A6+, and the Galaxy A8 Star. In the J series, Samsung has launched the Galaxy J6 and the Galaxy J8.

One particular phone model that hasn’t been updated in 2018 is the Samsung Galaxy A7. The Galaxy A7 was last updated in January 2017, and Samsung hasn’t released a 2018 model yet. The company is developing such a model, though, as the Galaxy A7 (2018) has now been leaked via multiple sources. A European retailer named Belsimpel.nl has leaked the Galaxy A7 (2018) in black. Interestingly, the phone has triple rear cameras. This is a first for any Samsung phone. It can also be a harbinger of things to come, as at least one model of the Galaxy S10 series (Galaxy S10+) is rumored to have triple rear cameras.

Twitter leaker @IshanAgarwal24 has also leaked renders of the Galaxy A7 (2018) in Blue and Gold. The phone’s triple rear cameras are placed at the top left on the back, with the LED flash being placed below. The Galaxy A7’s fingerprint sensor will be placed on the side, and not on the back. It’s worth noting that the Galaxy J6 Prime is also rumored to have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. This also seems to be a hint that the entry-level model of the Samsung Galaxy S10 will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor.

@IshanAgarwal24 states that the official price in Europe will be €348 ($406 / ₹29,342). We don’t know much about the phone’s other specifications, including the SoC, RAM and storage configuration, battery capacity, etc. The phone’s launch date is also unknown for now, but it’s likely that it will be announced in the next few weeks.
