In the middle of 2020, Samsung launched the Galaxy M31s (our review). With the Exynos 9611 SoC, a 6.5″ FHD+ Super AMOLED display, and a massive 6,000mAh battery, the Galaxy M31s was one of the most interesting mid-range offerings from the Korean company. The Galaxy M31s launched with a slightly stripped-down version of Samsung’s One UI software called "One UI Core" on top of Android 10, and now, the update to One UI (Core) 3.1 is rolling out. As expected, the new build is based on Android 11.

Users on Samsung's India community have reported that the update is rolling out for the Galaxy M31s (model number SM-M317F) in the form of software version M317FXXU2CUB1. The size of the OTA package is nearly 2GB and it comes with the February 2021 Android Security Patch Level. The full changelog for the update is embedded below.

It is worth mentioning that the first Android 11-based software release for the Galaxy M31s was One UI 3.0, which has been skipped over for the Indian variant in favor of One UI 3.1. We’ll follow-up once the One UI 3.1 update rolls out for Galaxy M31s owners in more regions.
