Samsung is rolling out the One UI 2.5 update to the Galaxy Tab S6
Samsung has started to roll out out its latest One UI 2.5 software version to the Galaxy Tab S6, which also includes the September 2020 Android security patch level. Samsung previously rolled out One UI 2.1 based on Android 10 for the tablet back in April, so the company is making good progress in terms of providing up-to-date software support. According to SamMobile, the update is currently rolling out in Germany for the Wi-Fi and LTE models. The firmware versions are T860XXU3BTI2 and T865XXU4BTI1, respectively.
The One UI 2.5 update introduces a variety of features to the Galaxy Tab S6, including improved Multi-Window support, Voice Recorder, Edge panel, and Wireless DeX. The last feature allows users to launch DeX on compatible TVs without a cable. Galaxy Tab S6 owners who update will also be treated to some nice Wi-Fi improvements. One of the improvements includes the ability to see the quality of a Wi-Fi connection, provided the router supports the feature. So, you can see if your Wi-Fi connection is Very Fast, Fast, Normal, or Slow. Additionally, Galaxy Tab S6 owners running One UI 2.5 can easily connect to a Wi-Fi network by requisitioning the password from a device that’s already connected to that network. It makes connecting to Wi-Fi networks much easier and takes the friction out of inputting a long, convoluted password.
So far, there are reports One UI 2.5 is rolling out to the tablet in Germany. You can manually check for the update by opening Settings, Software updates, and checking Download and install.
