Leaks and rumors about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S20 FE have been floating around the interwebs for the last couple of months now. But even though we've learned quite a bit about the upcoming device, Samsung is yet to unveil any information about it. However, that might change soon, as Samsung has announced another Galaxy Unpacked event where the company is expected to launch the Galaxy S20 FE.

Samsung just shared an invitation video for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, which is scheduled for September 23rd. The video showcases the Galaxy logo with two smartphone silhouettes that change colors over 15 seconds. This could be a reference to the various color options that Samsung is expected to offer for the Galaxy S20 FE. While the invitation reveals no further information about the device, we already know quite a bit about its design and specifications.

Previous leaks suggest that the Samsung Galaxy S20 FE will feature the same design as the vanilla Galaxy S20, with a centered hole-punch cutout and a rectangular camera module on the back. However, unlike the Galaxy S20, the Galaxy S20 FE will have a flat display with slightly thicker bezels on all sides.

Leaked specifications of the Galaxy S20 FE suggest that Samsung will ship two versions of the device: a Snapdragon 865-powered 5G model and an Exynos 990-powered 4G model. Both the variants will feature a 6.5-inch SuperAMOLED display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. The device will feature a triple camera setup on the back with a 12MP primary sensor, a 12MP ultra-wide camera, and a 12MP telephoto camera. Over on the front, the device will feature a 32MP selfie shooter.

The processor on both Galaxy S20 FE models will be accompanied by 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The device will also feature an in-display fingerprint scanner, but it isn't clear if it'll be of the ultrasonic or optical variety. Connectivity options will include Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC, and the device will also feature wireless charging support. Finally, the Galaxy S20 FE is expected to pack in a 4,500mAh battery with support for fast charging.
