Samsung launched its flagship Galaxy Tab S6 (review) back in October last year featuring a stunning display and top-of-the-line specifications. Late last month, the company confirmed that it was also prepping up the launch of a 5G version of the tablet for users who wish to be on the bleeding edge and experience faster data speeds on their device. But Samsung's tablet efforts aren't limited to the flagship space. The company is also working on a mid-range tablet in the Galaxy Tab A series, which has previously been spotted on the Wi-Fi Alliance's website.
The upcoming mid-range tablet, which goes by the model number SM-T307U, has now also been spotted on the Bluetooth SIG website along with the Galaxy Tab A4s branding, as per a recent report from GizmoChina. Both these certifications suggest that the tablet is about to hit the market soon. In terms of specifications, the Bluetooth SIG certification doesn't reveal much about the tablet. However, an FCC listing of the device reveals that it will feature an 8.39-inch display and will measure in at 201.9 x 124.4 mm (length x breadth) and 237.1 mm diagonally. The listing also notes that the device will pack in a respectable 4,860 mAh Li-ion battery with support for 15-watt fast charging. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, ,WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, GPS, ANT+, LTE, and WCDMA.
While we don't have any further information about its specifications, a separate report from Sammobile suggests that the device will be powered by a Samsung Exynos chip and will feature 32GB of onboard storage. The device will also include support for dual-band WiFi and will run Android 9.0 Pie out of the box. As of now, we have no information from the company regarding the upcoming Galaxy Tab A4s, but since the device has already cleared certifications it shouldn't be long before Samsung brings it to the market.
