Scripter – The High Way for Scripts

If you want to be able to run scripts easily on your Android device, there are a number of apps on the Android Market, and Scripter by XDA forum dmanbuhnik is another option with a few extra features.

The purpose of Scripter is to make it as simple as possible to run scripts in your device, providing three options to run scripts:

  • Scan QR code which codes the script as text
  • Run files from the SD card (like any other script program)
  • Rerun any script that you have run in the past or saved with the application

Scripter requires root and busybox. On top of that, the app is free to download from the Market and what’s more, is open source with the code hosted on github.

For more information, take a look at the application thread.

I've been around XDA since 2007 when I bought the HTC Touch, well things have moved on a lot since then, and I've tried my hand at developing for WM and Android (still learning), but wanted to contribute more by becoming a News Writer for XDA.I write mainly Android articles, and some Windows Mobile. We're always sifting through the masses of threads for front page news, but do let me or the other guys know if you think anything is newsworthy including any breaking news!
