Sony Xperia Z4 Images Leak, Leave Little to Imagine

Sony Xperia Z4 Images Leak, Leave Little to Imagine

Earlier last month, two of Android’s largest OEMs, Samsung and HTC, unveiled their 2015 flagships and expectant eyes have turned to LG and Sony in anticipation of their flagships. While the upcoming G4 remains shrouded in mystery, a leak earlier today has given us a clear and seemingly authentic look at the supposed Sony Xperia Z4.

The leaked images highlight a device in sync with Sony’s OmniBalance design philosophy which has been focused on balance and symmetry ever since the launch of the Z series. The front of the device shows stereo speakers at the top and bottom of the device, with a camera on the left of the Sony logo as opposed to the right-side placement on the Z3. The back of the device maintains the same look as its predecessor, with the rumored 20.7MP camera in the top left corner and the logos of Sony and NFC sitting towards the center.

An interesting detail revealed in the images is the lack of a covering flap on the microUSB port for water and dust resistance, despite the device rumored to pack IP68 certification. Allegedly codenamed Ivy, the Z4 is rumored to have a 5.2″ screen with Sony rumored to be preparing FHD and QHD variants at different price points.

With these extensive leaks giving us a clear and unobstructed look at the device from multiple angles, little is left to the imagination in terms of aesthetics. Coupled with the rumored specs of a Snapdragon 810 and 4GB of RAM, the details of the Z4 may just be enough to make up the minds of potential buyers. Are you looking to get your hands on the Xperia Z4? Do the leaks fall short of your expectations for Sony this year? Let us know in the comments below.
