[Update 2: Exodus 1s Specs] HTC wants us to know it's not dead, plans to release its 5G Hub and a second-gen "blockchain phone"

HTC may have been the first company to craft the first commercial Android smartphone, but more than a decade later, it has been reduced to a shell of its former self. While the Taiwanese company did manage to release a few smartphones—the HTC U12 series and the "Exodus 1" blockchain-focused smartphone—in 2018, poor sales testify that HTC may be on the verge of dying, if not already dead. Its official Twitter handle for the U.S., which has been inactive for over a month, echoes this belief. But the company may not want us to think that, just yet.

Smartphones made by OPPO run ColorOS, an Android skin that focuses on vibrant colors (thus, the name) and detailed icons. Over the years, OPPO has made progress and established a separate identity for ColorOS away from the initial perception about it being inspired by iOS. In March this year, OPPO announced ColorOS 6 for its smartphones and the latest version of the Android overlay comes with more emphasis on minimalism, flat icons, and gradients along with performance improvements. Since then, the ColorOS 6 update has made its way to premium devices such as the OPPO Reno series and should soon be rolling out to other devices in India.

Until recently, the software experience on Samsung devices came up short of the hardware, forcing many users to seek unofficial mods and custom ROMs to improve the experience. Last year, the company acknowledged this as feedback and completely overhauled the UI, which incepted Samsung's One UI. The One UI, based on Android 9.o Pie, reimagines how consumers interact with their mobile devices. Among the major changes in this new UI is a flatter, minimal, and more visually appealing design while the interactive elements are relocated to the bottom of the interface so that users can easily use their smartphones with a single hand. Besides this, Samsung has also been more nimble in terms of sending out updates and has already issued One UI for not just its flagships and mid-range devices, but even some others in the entry-level segment.
