The Sony Xperia 1 II was announced back in February and became available last month. Despite the odd name (pronounced "mark two"), this is another excellent phone from Sony. It has pretty much all of the specifications that have become standard for flagships in 2020, but one feature, in particular, stands out: the headphone jack.

Samsung's Ad mocking the removal of the headphone jack from Apple's iPhones
Samsung takes down videos that mocked Apple for removing the headphone jack

Samsung once mocked Apple's iPhone for its notch, its lack of microSD expandability and headphone jack. Ads that mentioned the same have now been removed.

Companies like to banter and take potshots at each other all the time, often bringing up what they do better than their competitors. All companies have done it in the past, but today we would like to draw special attention to some of Samsung's jibes directed towards Apple and its iPhones. Devices from Samsung's Galaxy S and Galaxy Note lineups have been some of the best smartphones for their years, and Samsung had used the opportunity to point out the features on its newly launched devices and how the iPhone lacked them. However, some of those remarks have not aged well, as Samsung is now doing the very same thing for which it had mocked the competition in the past.

Black Shark's next gaming smartphone may still be a few months away. The original Black Shark gaming phone was launched over a year ago, followed by a mid-cycle release of the Black Shark Helo smartphone. This was then followed by the launch of the Black Shark 2 last month, which comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 SoC and up to 12GB of RAM, making it a ludicrous gaming smartphone.

Possibly an even smaller notch? What's not to love? However, in a TechRadar interview with OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei, something a little more controversial has been revealed - the OnePlus 6T will not feature a headphone jack. The company has also announced the Type-C Bullets at the same time, presumably aimed at those who will pick up the OnePlus 6T.

How to increase the headphone jack volume on the OnePlus 6 [Root]

The OnePlus 6's headphone jack is quiet, too quiet for some. If you want to learn how to increase its volume, this tutorial is for you.

One of the most common complaints about the OnePlus 6 is its low volume headphone jack. While many different aspects of the device are stellar, the phone's volume output is not so great. The quality itself is fine, but you won't exactly be pumping out high decibel audio. Often a trick done by users to increase the volume on other devices is to change a value in the appropriate mixer_path file, but the location has changed on the OnePlus 6. If you want to learn how to increase the volume output from the headphone jack on your OnePlus 6, follow this tutorial. You'll need a rooted device (use Magisk) and a root enabled file explorer. We recommend MiXplorer or Solid Explorer.

The Oppo A3s is now official, and it sports a 4,230 mAh battery alongside a 6.2-inch notched display. The device and all of its promotional material already leaked earlier this week, but now it's out officially. Oppo is calling the display a FullView display, something that the Oppo Find X also features. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 450, a lower powered processor which should maximise the battery life. It also has 2GB of RAM and is running on Android 8.1 Oreo. Obviously, it's no flagship, but this device should be great for basic tasks.
