HMD Global has launched the Nokia 6.1 Plus and the Nokia 5.1 Plus in India. Both phone have notched displays, and the Nokia 6.1 Plus will cost ₹15,999.
Up until now, HMD Global's budget device lineup hasn't been impressive so far. The company has consistently failed to match competitors on the basis of its phones' specifications, pricing, and their value proposition. The Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1, Nokia 5.1, and the Nokia 6.1 were all guilty of this. The budget Nokia phones did have a significant plus point of pure Android One software, but in terms of hardware, HMD Global was clearly falling behind, and there was a need for something better.

The Nokia X6 launched in China well back in May and was rumored to launch globally later this year as an Android One device. HMD Global has now announced its global launch, and it's under a new name. The Nokia 6.1 Plus is here, and it runs Android 8.1 Oreo as part of the Android One program. As such, it runs a clean version of Android.
Qualcomm Announces the Snapdragon 636 with Kryo 260 CPU Cores
Qualcomm has announced the Snapdragon 636 SoC, the successor to the Snapdragon 630. It has 8x Kryo 260 cores and the Adreno 509 GPU.
Five months after launching the Snapdragon 630 and Snapdragon 660 platforms, Qualcomm has now expanded their mid-range SoC lineup in the 600 series of SoCs by announcing the Snapdragon 636. This new chipset is a direct successor to the Snapdragon 630.
