It looks like dual eSIM functionality has arrived on the Pixel 7. While functionality has existed on the device, this is the first instance being reported where both eSIMs can be active at the same time. For those that rely on dual SIMs, this is great news, but you won't be able to take advantage of the feature now unless your device is enrolled in the Android Beta Program.

Google has released a new update for its Android 13 Quarterly Platform Release, otherwise known as QPR2. The Android 13 QPR2 Beta 2.1 patch is now available for all compatible Pixel devices. While not a major one, update T2B2.221216.008 does offer useful bug fixes that help iron out the experience, with the most notable being that it fixed an issue that sometimes prevented 5G from connecting to devices even if the network was present and operational.

It looks like the latest update to Nothing OS 1.5 based on Android 13 is rolling out early. Carl Pei, the founder and CEO of Nothing, took to Twitter to share the news, delivering it four days ahead of schedule. While there are plenty of changes in the release, with perhaps the biggest one is that for this release, all the international firmware has now been merged. If interested, and you are in the beta program, you should start seeing the update land on your handset soon, coming in at just 127MB.

New builds of Android 13 have started hitting numerous devices since Google I/O 2022. So it comes as no surprise a new set of smartphones that will be updated to the latest Developer Preview, particularly as we inch closer to Android 13's official release. The Oppo Find X5 Pro, Realme GT2 Pro, Vivo X80, Vivo X80 Pro, and OnePlus 10 Pro are all being updated to Android 13 Developer Preview 2 (DP2). For the time being, the Oppo Find X5 Pro is the only model that will have updates for two variants -- a Global and a Chinese version. The OnePlus 10 Pro's global model got the second preview build a while ago, and now the Chinese variant picked up the new build as well. The updates for each phone could offer major and minor fixes, but could also bring a whole new set of issues. Please check the specific link for each handset to see further details.
