Ever since Google released the stable build of Android 13 in August, phone makers across the world have been announcing rollout plans for their device portfolio. Now, we can add Asus to that list. The Taiwanese OEM has finally shared a roadmap that reveals when the Zenfone and ROG Phone family of devices will be updated to the latest version of Google’s mobile software.
Asus has been leading the charge with chipsets in recent months. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 first arrived in the west via the Asus ROG Phone 6 Pro, a true powerhouse that has everything and the kitchen sink. Following that saw the advent of the Zenfone 9, a dinky little device with a lot of might. Now we're getting the Asus ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, and it's yet another first -- this time, it's the first time the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus is coming to the west.
Asus has lifted the covers off its latest gaming smartphone duo -- the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. As seen in previous leaks, the new devices are essentially the same as the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro from earlier this year, with the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 Plus SoC being the only notable difference.

Leaked renders of the upcoming ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate have confirmed that the upcoming devices will feature a familiar design.
After launching the ROG Phone 6 and ROG Phone 6 Pro this July, Asus is now gearing up to launch a new gaming smartphone as part of its ROG Phone lineup. The Taiwanese OEM recently confirmed that the upcoming device, called the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, would feature MediaTek's flagship Dimensity 9000 Plus chip. While we're still weeks away from the September 19 launch event, a new leak has revealed that the company will, in fact, launch two phones at the event -- the ROG Phone 6D and ROG Phone 6D Ultimate. The leak also gives us our first look at their design and, as we speculated in our previous coverage, they look pretty much the same as the ROG Phone 6 series models.

Asus unveiled its latest gaming smartphone lineup in July this year. The all-new ROG Phone 6 series currently includes two devices, the ROG Phone 6 and the ROG Phone 6 Pro, featuring Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chip, 165Hz AMOLED displays, massive 6,000mAh batteries, and a ton of cool gaming features. But Asus plans to add another device, the ROG Phone 6D Ultimate, to the lineup soon.
