The market for connected cars is continuing to heat up, with Google bringing Android Automotive to more vehicles across the world, and hardware companies like Qualcomm and MediaTek aiming to power them. Today during the company's CES 2022 conference, Qualcomm revealed that it is working with Renault Group to develop more smart cars with its Snapdragon 'Digital Chassis' technology package.
CES 2022 will be held in Las Vegas next year as an in-person event
CES 2022 (Consumer Electronics Show) is going to be a physical, in-person event and is scheduled to be held from 5-8 January 2022.
The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, was completely digital this year as a precaution against the global coronavirus pandemic. The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) has now announced that the upcoming CES conference in 2022 will be returning to Las Vegas in an in-person format. Considering the widespread availability of vaccines, especially in the US, it does seem feasible to host the event in a physical format. The conference is scheduled from 5-8 January 2022, with media days preceding the conference on 3-4 January 2022.

We are not quite done with new laptop announcements yet, as MSI is bringing its entire updated portfolio of gaming notebooks to CES 2021. While the new lineup continues to be powered by the 10th-gen Intel H-series processors, the Stealth 15M is the only model that will make use of Intel’s new 11th-gen H35 gaming CPU. The company has introduced an OLED version of its dual-screen ZenBook Pro Duo 15, the TUF Dash 15 gaming notebook, ZenBook Duo 14, VivoBook S14, ExpertBook B9450CEA (vPro), Chromebook Flip CX5/C536, Chromebook CX9, and ASUS BR1100 for education. ASUS also announced the ProArt Display PA148CTV and ZenBeam Latte projector.
Acer unveils new Predator Triton and Helios gaming notebooks alongside Nitro 5 refresh
Acer Predator has unveiled new gaming notebooks that are mostly facelifts with new CPUs from Intel and AMD and NVIDIA RTX 30-mobile GPUs.
With Intel, AMD, and NVIDIA announcing new CPUs and GPUs for laptops at CES 2021, we have more upgraded notebooks coming from Acer. The company has announced refreshed versions of the Predator Triton 300 SE, Predator Helios 300, and Acer Nitro 5. While the Predator Triton SE and the Nitro 5 get Intel’s new 11th-gen Core H35-series processors, the Predator Helios 300 doesn’t seem to have received a CPU upgrade which means it continues to rock the 10th-gen Intel H-series processors.
LG's rollable phone is a real product launching this year
A spokesperson from LG has confirmed that the rollable phone showcased recently isn't just a concept phone and it will launch later this year.
During the LG Wing launch event in September last year, LG teased an upcoming device with a rollable display. Soon after that, we saw reports suggesting that the company had already started work on a prototype called Project B. At CES just a few days ago, LG then showcased the device, giving us our first look at the innovative rollable display tech. However, since the smartphone showed off during the trade show was in the concept stage, there were some doubts about LG's plans to bring it to market later this year. Now, a spokesperson from the South Korean OEM has confirmed that the device will make its way to consumers this year.

After various reports, rumors, and leaks, NVIDIA has finally brought the RTX 30-series GPUs to notebooks. With the desktop GPU range hitting off with a solid start albeit short supplies, NVIDIA says that its new mobile GPUs will launch on over 70 laptops throughout this year.
