A day before Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon 888, the company partially detailed the flagship SoC and confirmed the names of 14 OEMs who would launch devices with the new processor. Xiaomi was one of the manufacturers on the list, and the company teased the Mi 11 just a day after Qualcomm's launch event. A few weeks down the line, the Chinese OEM revealed it would launch the Mi 11 before the end of the year, making it the first device to feature Qualcomm's latest flagship chip. As promised, Xiaomi lifted the covers off the Mi 11 in China on December 28th, giving us our first look at its design, specifications, and unique features. A few months after launching the vanilla Mi 11, Xiaomi added five more devices to the Mi 11 lineup -- the Mi 11 Lite 4G, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Pro, and the Mi 11 Ultra. The Xiaomi Mi 11's Android 12 update is almost here, and Xiaomi wants your help testing it

Back in May, Xiaomi seeded an early developer preview of Android 12 to the Mi 11 Ultra, Mi 11, and Mi 11i (Mi 11X Pro/Redmi K40 Pro). While the developer preview was a pure vanilla Android build, we saw the first glimpse of a proper MIUI build last month when an internal MIUI 12.5 beta based on Android 12 was released for the Mi 11. Now, as we inch ever closer to the Android 12 public release, Xiaomi has started testing the MIUI Global Stable ROM based on Android 12 for a bunch of Mi 11 series phones.

Android 12 recently reached Beta 4.1 as a bug fix release over the Beta 4 release that finalized the platform APIs and app facing behaviors. This year, OEMs did join the party, but we saw their presence only around the initial release through unskinnned, vanilla Android builds, with most choosing to not release further builds based off the Android 12 Beta. As we inch closer to the public release of Android 12, we're now seeing OEMs test out their skinned releases of Android 12. Xiaomi is rejoining the Android 12 party, this time with MIUI 12 in tow, as it tests its first MIUI 12 beta with Android 12 for the Mi 11.
Xiaomi is making another Mi 11 flagship, and it could have 120W charging
As per a new leak, the upcoming Mi 11T will feature a 120Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 888 SoC, and a 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging.
Xiaomi could soon be bringing a new flagship to the market. This new smartphone, dubbed the Mi 11T Pro, will succeed the last year’s Mi 10T Pro, according to a fresh leak. Xiaomi launching yet another flagship device may come as a surprise to many, especially since the company has already launched a lot of them, like the Mi 11, Mi 11 Pro, Mi 11 Ultra, and Mi MIX 4, this year. While all of the above-mentioned devices are premium offerings, the Mi 11T Pro is expected to be an affordable flagship, featuring some of the best hardware from other Mi 11 series flagships and an enticing price tag.

The Xiaomi Mi 11 is an excellent bang-for-buck option, and here's why
The Xiaomi Mi 11 is the first flagship to be launched with the Snapdragon 888. But how well does the phone hold up? Find out in our review!
The Xiaomi Mi 11 launched globally at the start of February, following a China-only launch in December. I've had my own to play with for the past couple of weeks, and I will be echoing pretty much everything that our senior editor Ben Sin said - this device is premium.
