With banking apps, investment apps, and cryptocurrency apps right on our phoness, it's easier than ever to get started with financial planning. But even easier than that is paying friends, family members, and sellers with mobile payments. Some of these apps are services built right into your phone's operating system, while others are third-party solutions.
In February this year, Apple announced that U.S. merchants would finally be able to accept payments using Tap to Pay on iPhones. At the time, the company said that the feature would become available sometime later this year. However, it did not share a definite release timeline. U.S.-based payments platform Square has now finally implemented the feature, allowing merchants to accept payments using Tap to Pay on iPhones.

Signal announced plans to integrate a payments feature into its encrypted messaging app back in April. At the time the company said it was testing a privacy-focused payments protocol called MobileCoin in the UK and planned to expand it to more markets soon.

It has also received a new backup feature that lets you transfer chats to a new device easily. The original working goal of Truecaller is supposed to be call screening, but the app has evolved into a chimera that offers varied services such as "smart messaging", smart dialer (identify names of unknown numbers as you dial), voice caller, call recorder.....and a Payment bank, for some reason. One of Truecaller's latest updates contained a bug that signed up users for the Truecaller Pay payment service without their consent.

There were reports saying it would come to the US in June of 2018, but that never happened. Finally, LG Pay is available in the US.

Google Pay has launched in Germany with support for four different banks. Commerzbank, Comdirect, Wirecard and N26, with support for others on the way.
Google Pay has been rolling out across the world in the last few months after it replaced Android Pay and Google Wallet. It combines the two services, allowing you to save all of your payment details in one service that can be used for tap and pay and also online purchases. Google Pay is now going live in Germany, and with it comes support for four banks - Commerzbank, Comdirect, Wirecard, and N26. Support for online-based Revolut and LBBW will come in the future. Interestingly, one of the largest German banks, Sparkasse, has said that they will not be working with Google and will not be supporting Google Pay.
