Mobvoi opens Wear OS 3 beta signups for TicWatch Pro 3, TicWatch Pro Ultra 3, and TicWatch E3
It looks like Mobvoi's finally getting the ball rolling on its Wear OS 3 update for some of its more popular wearables
It's been a long time coming, but TicWatch users can let out a small sigh of relief, because, after so many rumors, Mobvoi has finally begun its process to update its wearables to Wear OS 3. Although the update hasn't rolled out yet, the company is starting its recruitment for its upcoming beta, giving users the chance to experience the software early.
Mobvoi shares why it can't deliver its TicWatch Wear OS 3 update
The company has shared an update about its Wear OS 3 update for compatible TicWatch wearables.
Mobvoi TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra, TicWatch Pro 3, and TicWatch E3 users have been patiently waiting for an update to Wear OS 3. While the company did promise it for these devices, the wait has been long, and now it's finally sharing some information about why it's taken so much time for the update.
Wear OS 3 update could arrive Q3 for Mobvoi's most popular TicWatches
It looks like a Wear OS 3 update could be landing on Mobvoi smartwatches soon, with a new source stating that it's coming in Q3.
While Mobvoi doesn't get talked about as much as say, Samsung or Google, it still produces some excellent products, especially its smartwatches powered by Wear OS. While its TicWatch line of smartwatches has been out for quite some time, the devices have yet to receive updates to Wear OS 3, despite the company's repeated promises. Now, it looks like we're getting another update from the company, this time coming from its Facebook group, with indication that Wear OS 3 will be made available for the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra and TicWatch E3 in the third quarter of 2023.
Mobvoi TicWatch E3 drops to $140 ($60 off), and it will get Wear OS 3
The TicWatch E3 is now on sale for $60 below the usual price, and Google says it will get the Wear OS 3 update next year.
Mobvoi is one of the few companies currently producing Wear OS smartwatches, alongside Fossil Group, Samsung, and others. The company released the TicWatch E3 earlier this year as a budget watch with the Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip, and now you can get it on sale for $140. That's a discount of $60 from the usual price, and best of all, the watch should get the Wear OS 3 update sometime next year.
Mobvoi is misleading customers about the TicWatch Pro 3 and TicWatch E3's hardware
Mobvoi has quietly updated its product pages for the Ticwatch Pro 3 and E3, saying the watches use the "Wear 4100+ Dual System Platform."
Mobvoi is one of the few companies currently producing smartwatches with Google's Wear OS platform. The TicWatch Pro 3 and TicWatch E3 were released last year, and both are equipped with Qualcomm's Snapdragon 4100 chipset. However, over the past few months, Mobvoi has claimed on product pages that both watches have the improved Wear 4100+ chip.
Mobvoi's TicWatch E3 features Wear OS and the Snapdragon Wear 4100 at a lower price
Mobvoi's newly launched TicWatch E3 is an affordable Wear OS-powered smartwatch with the powerful Snapdragon Wear 4100 chipset.
Following multiple leaks, including a hands-on video, Mobvoi today officially unveiled the TicWatch E3, the company’s latest Wear OS smartwatch. The new TicWatch E3 is the second-ever smartwatch to launch with Snapdragon Wear 4100, the first being Mobvoi's own TicWatch Pro 3 from last year. While not as premium and feature-packed as the TicWatch Pro 3, Mobvoi’s TicWatch E3 offers impressive hardware at a very affordable price tag.
Mobvoi is preparing to launch the second ever Wear OS smartwatch with the Snapdragon Wear 4100
The Mobvoi TicWatch E3 has just been leaked in a hands-on video, revealing it'll run Wear OS and pack the Snapdragon Wear 4100 processor.
It's not every day that we hear about new premium Wear OS hardware. In fact, of the last few premium Wear OS smartwatches to hit the market, the only one to ship with an up-to-date chipset was Mobvoi's TicWatch Pro 3 from September. Wear OS itself is finally getting some much-needed attention from Google, but what we also want to see is new hardware with Qualcomm's Snapdragon Wear 4100 chip. Fortunately, it looks like we won't have to wait long for that to happen, as Mobvoi is allegedly gearing up to launch the TicWatch E3 with Qualcomm's latest wearable chipset.
Mobvoi working on TicWatch E3 with Wear OS, TicWatch GTH coming to more countries
A teardown of the Mobvoi app shows work on a TicWatch E3 with Wear OS and global launch of the TicWatch GTH with skin temperature monitoring.
Mobvoi is one of the few remaining companies producing smartwatches with Google's Wear OS. The company just released another iteration of its TicWatch Pro (with embarrassingly old hardware), and now it looks like two more watches could get a global release in the near future.
