After giving the OnePlus 5/5T and Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e LTE a taste of LineageOS 17.1, the team at LineageOS is now adding four new smartphones to the official LineageOS 17.1 roaster: the Nextbit Robin (ether), Moto G5 (cedric), Moto G5S (montana), and Moto E5 Plus (hannah).

Back in September, Google released the Android 10 source code and that kickstarted the custom ROM development here on XDA. Since then, we've seen several devices receive Android 10 based custom ROMs, including the Xiaomi Redmi 2, Moto G2015, Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, HTC 10, HTC One M8, etc. Most recently, the OnePlus 3/3T, Xiaomi Mi Pad 4, Mi 6X, Huawei P Smart 2018, Galaxy A70 and Xperia XA2 Ultra received their first Android 10 based ROMs. And now, six more devices have joined the list. These include the Asus ZenFone Max Pro M2, Nokia 6.1, 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7 Plus, Moto G5 Plus, and the HTC One M9.

Fortnite Mobile on Android is a long-awaited upcoming release of an already massively popular game. Since launching on Apple iOS, users of Android smartphones and tablets have been wondering when Fortnite would launch on their devices too. The Android release has apparently been delayed as we recently reported that it will be launching as an exclusive with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. This exclusivity will supposedly last 30 days. After 30 days, Fortnite Mobile on Android will become available for all supported Android devices. Motorola's software can be considered as a mixed bag. On one side, it's a pretty close to stock Android experience which brings little to no bloatware and only adds useful, non-intrusive features over AOSP Android, also releasing kernel sources when the time comes.

Stock kernels simply do not provide the advanced features that we love. Smartphone vendors pack stable but bare solutions that give little room for customization and general improvement.
