OPPO's ColorOS is known for borrowing inspiration from the design elements of iOS, but with the introduction of ColorOS 7 (our review), the company performed a complete visual overhaul on their custom UX while upgrading the underlying layer to Android 10. With the passage of time, the company published a preliminary timeline regarding the update rollout plan for the global units and eventually started beta testing of ColorOS 7 on the OPPO F11 series. After continuing the public beta event on several other phones for a while, OPPO has now started pushing out the stable Android 10 update to the global variants of the OPPO Reno2, OPPO Reno Z, OPPO F11, OPPO F11 Pro, OPPO A9, and the OPPO R17.

At the launch event, the company also revealed the list of devices it had planned to update to ColorOS 7. In December, we saw the company rolling out a beta version of Android 10 to the global variant of the Oppo F11 and OPPO F11 Pro. Now, the company has started recruiting beta testers for more Oppo devices in India including the Find X series and R17 series.
OPPO reveals ColorOS 6 (Android Pie) beta testing dates in India
OPPO has announced the beta testing schedule for ColorOS 6 based on Android Pie and it is expected to begin with OPPO F9/F9 Pro, Find X, and F7 this month.

Over the years, OPPO has made progress and established a separate identity for ColorOS away from the initial perception about it being inspired by iOS. Google's augmented reality SDK, ARCore, is getting a big update to version 1.7. In a blog post, Google states that version 1.7 focuses on "creative elements" like augmented reality selfies, animating characters in Sceneform AR apps, integrating ARCore Elements, and adding Shared Camera access. Furthermore, the official list of supported devices has expanded to include devices like the Honor View 20, Moto G7 series, OPPO R17 Pro, and more devices.
