Whether it's the fact that games no longer include the full list of creatures that have been created over the past 28 years or the disappointing visual quality, there's plenty that people love to criticize about the newer games in the series.

Thanks to its augmented reality gameplay, Pokémon GO reached heights of popularity no other Android game had seen before. While its popularity has dropped significantly over the years since its release, the game still has quite a large user base. The main aim of the game is to capture as many Pokémon as you can, but it also has a variety of different side-quests. You can visit nearby Pokéstops to collect in-game items, battle against other players at Gyms, or team up to fight legendary Pokémon. As you'd expect, Pokéstops and Gyms play a crucial role in the game as they provide players with the means to progress. However, their availability, or lack thereof,  has been a major issue in the Pokémon GO community. More than three years since its release, Niantic is finally looking at solving this issue by rolling out Pokéstop submissions to players worldwide.

Pokemon GO is one of the most popular games because of its augmented reality gameplay and its popularity seems to have outlasted any other game on Android. While its userbase has dropped from 60 million last June to nearly 11 million as of July 2019 in the US alone, the game is still fairly enjoyed among users and has many pop culture icons like Uncle Pokemon associated with it. It has even got a Starbucks Frappuccino to its name. For its popularity, the Pokemon GO developer, Niantic, also has one of the strictest policies against spoofing. While bans against cheating in the game are fair and just, hundreds of Xiaomi users claim to have been unfairly targeted by Niantic's systems and this time, the victims are users with Redmi 5 and other Xiaomi smartphones.
