Potato Open Sauce Project (no, that's not a typo!) aka POSP is the go-to choice of many users when it comes to a lightweight AOSP-based custom ROM that also offers a handful of UI/UX customizations. Founded by XDA Recognized Developer Agent_fabulous, POSP is known for integrating useful features on top of its stock Android base, such as the Android Pie’s missing expandable volume panel. Talking about the volume panel, the development team behind POSP has now revamped the volume panel manager with four different panel styles.

Android 10 is finally here, and it brings along a lot of goodies that software enthusiasts will appreciate. Officially, stable Android 10 is available on Google Pixel devices, the Essential Phone, and the Xiaomi Redmi K20 Pro, while beta builds can be found for the OnePlus 7 and OnePlus 7 Pro, and Samsung had been spotted testing the update with OneUI 2.0 for the Snapdragon and Exynos Samsung Galaxy S10 and Exynos Samsung Galaxy Note 10. Source code for the new release is already up and available at AOSP, which brought to us the first Android 10 custom ROM, that too on the ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 with practically no bugs. Now, more Android 10 custom ROMs have begun sprouting up for devices like the Xiaomi POCO F1, the Xiaomi Mi 6, the Xiaomi Mi 8 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5.

One of the features the developers have decided to add is the Android Pie’s missing expandable volume panel. In version 2.3 of the Potato Open Sauce Project ROM, we get a number of new features including an RGB accent picker, the Android Q battery icon, and more.

POSP by Team Potato starts off with an AOSP base and adds in select features from other open source projects, as well as adds in other new features. For instance, the latest release of POSP (v2.2) brings back the expandable volume panel from Oreo to Android Pie.
