The Moto G stylus rests on a table with words written on the screen.

The stylus is back, baby! Once thought of as an absolute must-have in the mobile space, the noble stylus faded into the background as an included accessory for smartphones. As multi-touch became more prominent, it seemed as though our love affair with the noble stylus was meant to reach its conclusion. Some brands managed to revive the stylus, with one note-able champion, while others kept the stylus alive, but failed to back up it with a phone that stylus fans wanted to use regularly. Thus came the conundrum. Pay a lot and get a great phone with a stylus, or pay a little and get a frankly bad phone with a stylus. Enter the Moto G Stylus 5G.

The OnePlus Nord N20 5G is in the house, and there's a lot to love here for an inexpensive Android phone. The successor to the Snapdragon 690-powered Nord N10 5G, the Nord N20 has a Snapdragon 695 with an improved CPU and the same GPU. Aside from the internal improvements, there's a better camera, a 60Hz AMOLED display instead of a 90Hz LCD, and 33W SuperVOOC charging. It also comes with an all-new design, which actually reminds me a bit of the OnePlus X (that's right; we're going back to those days).

Xiaomi is known for many things, but two that are frequent points of discussion here at XDA are "Xiaomi makes the best bang-for-dollar value of anyone" and "Xiaomi's constant rebranding of existing phones for release under another name is annoying and confusing." On day one of the Mobile World Congress, the Beijing-headquartered tech giant once again did both, although not directly. POCO announced the POCO X4 Pro, an awesome affordable mid-ranger selling in Europe starting at just €299 (around $335) that offers more features and better components than most $500 phones selling in the US. But the phone is mostly just a rebranding of Xiaomi's Redmi Note 11 Pro announced for another region last month. By the way, this global version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro also differs from the China version of the Redmi Note 11 Pro. Confused yet?

OnePlus has been something of a leaky ship recently, with the OnePlus 10 Pro leaking far in advance of its launch. It's not all about the flagships though, as the OnePlus Nord N20 5G is the latest OnePlus phone to leak, and it's packing a design overhaul. The iPhone 13's boxy design is almost certainly an inspiration for this smartphone, as it features a flat display, a flat back, and flat sides.
