TWRP arrives on OnePlus 8 and 8 Pro, Nokia 2.2, and other devices
TWRP is now officially available on six more phones and tablets, including the OnePlus 8 series and the Nokia 2.2.

Unofficial LineageOS 16 arrives for the Realme 3 Pro and Samsung Galaxy J4+
Unofficial Android Pie-based LineageOS 16 custom ROMs are now available for the Realme 3 Pro and Samsung Galaxy J4+ on the XDA forums.
Official LineageOS 16 based on Android 9 Pie was released earlier this year for a handful of devices, but over the past few months, the build roster has grown to include many more devices. Before a build can be deemed official and thus built and hosted using LineageOS' resources, device maintainers have to work to fix bugs to meet the requirements in LineageOS' Device Support Requirements Charter. While working on these builds, some developers like to post their work on the XDA forums. These builds are unofficial, but they're a good way to test LineageOS weeks or months before the build is stable enough to be made official. Now, unofficial LineageOS 16 custom ROMs have appeared on our forums for the Realme 3 Pro and Samsung Galaxy J4+.

Traditionally, Samsung had been among the laggards in terms of the latest software update. But over the last one year, the situation has improved a lot and Samsung has been pushing the latest One UI update based on Android 9.0 Pie to not only its flagships but also some mid-range devices. Now, three more Samsung smartphones from the budget and the mid-range segments are getting a taste of Pie. With the One UI update, the Samsung Galaxy J4/J4+ and Galaxy J6 will get improvements to the user experience, notifications, Samsung Keyboard, Bixby, as well as the overall performance.

Forums for both the Samsung Galaxy J6+ and the Samsung Galaxy J4+ are now open and ready for owner and potential owners alike.
Earlier this week, the Samsung Galaxy J6+ and Galaxy J4+ were launched in India. These mid-range phones take some cues from Samsung's flagship devices. They feature 18.5:9 Infinity Displays (with no notch) and glass backs. Forums for both devices are now open and ready for visitors.
