Last year, we broke the news that Xiaomi is working on at least four smartphones with the then-newly launched 108MP Samsung ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor. These four phones came to us in the form of the Mi Mix Alpha (draco), Mi Note 10 Pro (tucana), Mi 10 (umi), and Mi 10 Pro (cmi). At that time, the names of these smartphones were not available -- consequently, we also took an educated guess that none of those phones would be the Mi Mix 4 -- and so far, this has held to be true, too. Now, we have some more new information: Xiaomi is working on at least two new smartphones within a product series -- one with a 64MP primary camera, and the other with a 108MP primary camera.

At the event, the company will be showcasing the Mi 10 and Mi 10 Pro, powered by Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon 865 SoC and up to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM from either Micron or Samsung. We already have reason to believe that both the devices will also include Samsung's 108MP ISOCELL Bright HMX sensor and that the higher-end Pro variant will support 66-watt fast wired charging. Now, Xiaomi has released a teaser poster for the launch event on Weibo confirming some of these details.

However, we soon learned that the company was planning to launch another device alongside the Mi 10 — the Mi 10 Pro. The device was spotted in an MIUI 11 nightly build for the Redmi K30 5G, codename and all, and we also learned that the device would feature 66-watt super-fast charging. While we didn't have any additional information about the devices back then, we now have reason to believe that both the upcoming flagships from Xiaomi will feature a 108MP primary camera.
