When Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 series earlier this year, they partnered with Google to preinstall the latter's Messages app in many parts of the world. Google and Samsung's partnership is aimed at unifying the chat experience for Android users, especially as Google continues to lead the charge in rolling out RCS. Samsung's flavor of Android called One UI is heavily themed, though, so Google made a few tweaks to the design of the app so it doesn't look out of place. Now, the Google Messages app is getting a brand new home screen design on Galaxy S21 devices worldwide, bringing a one-handed friendly UI that's reminiscent of many stock One UI apps.

Samsung's Galaxy A51 was the best-selling Android phone in 2020, with more than 23 million units shipped worldwide. Its success is proof that most users go by a brand's reliability, good cameras on the back and the front, and average everything else over hyped-up specs from lesser-known brands. The new Samsung Galaxy A52 is set to fill those big shoes. Unlike the Galaxy A51, which mostly brought software improvements over the Galaxy A50 and the Galaxy A50s, the Galaxy A52 comes with major improvements to the hardware, including a new display, better cameras, faster charging, and a separate 5G variant for select markets.

Samsung rolled out One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 for the Galaxy Note 10 Lite earlier this year in January. With the Galaxy S21 series launch, Samsung released One UI 3.1 with more new features and the software eventually landed on the Galaxy Note 10 Lite. The phone is powered by the Exynos 9810 processor, a 10nm octa-core SoC from 2018 that also powered the international variant of the Galaxy Note 9. Unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 9 is excluded from getting the official Android 11 update from Samsung, although the device is theoretically capable of running it. This prompted XDA Recognized Developer AlexisXDA to port the One UI 3.1-flavored Android 11 firmware to the Galaxy Note 9.
