Team Win Recovery Project, or TWRP for short, has been around for several years now and it has grown to become the go-to option for the Android community to replace the stock recovery on their devices with a more advanced and feature-rich substitute. For most users, installing any kind of aftermarket software modification, whether it be a custom ROM, custom kernel, Magisk, or other tool, requires the use of TWRP. The custom recovery is open source and it supports hundreds of devices. Today, the project has been bumped to version 3.6.0, bringing Android 11 support, many improvements in decryption, new features, a whole lot of newly supported devices, and a major change to the way TWRP is installed.

A day before Qualcomm officially unveiled the Snapdragon 888, the company partially detailed the flagship SoC and confirmed the names of 14 OEMs who would launch devices with the new processor. Xiaomi was one of the manufacturers on the list, and the company teased the Mi 11 just a day after Qualcomm's launch event. A few weeks down the line, the Chinese OEM revealed it would launch the Mi 11 before the end of the year, making it the first device to feature Qualcomm's latest flagship chip. As promised, Xiaomi lifted the covers off the Mi 11 in China on December 28th, giving us our first look at its design, specifications, and unique features. A few months after launching the vanilla Mi 11, Xiaomi added five more devices to the Mi 11 lineup -- the Mi 11 Lite 4G, Mi 11 Lite 5G, Mi 11i, Mi 11 Pro, and the Mi 11 Ultra. Here's everything you need to know about Xiaomi's extensive Mi 11 lineup.

Whether you like OnePlus as a brand or not, one cannot deny that the smartphones offered by the Chinese OEM are some of the easiest-to-mod devices currently available on the market. The devices are really popular on our forums since they’re relatively easy to bootloader-unlock and root, and with readily available kernel sources, they’re also a boon for custom ROM/kernel development and overall modding. We saw OnePlus publish the kernel source code for the newly released OnePlus 9R shortly after its launch. The company is keeping up with the tradition with the regular OnePlus 9 series by releasing its kernel sources as well.

I seem to be in the minority among my peers and colleagues in the tech media scene, but I actually like curved screen phones. Curved screens not only look visually appealing to me — especially with the way visuals seem to spill off the edges like an infinity pool — but also make for a more comfortable in-hand feel. Flat panels by and large don't feel as premium to me. But Xiaomi's new Mi 11 Lite is the exception -- it's a flat panel that feels good.

We have heard rumors about Xiaomi’s Mi 11 Lite, the cheapest offering in the Mi 11 series, for a while now. The device was first spotted on certification websites back in January, which in turn revealed some of its key specifications. A more substantial leak came last week when we got our very first look at the design of the smartphone, including its color options. Although Xiaomi has yet to launch the Mi 11 Lite officially, it looks like the device has already made it to retailers' hands.
