Xiaomi's Mi Band lineup dominates the affordable fitness tracker space and for good reason. Since its debut in 2014, the Mi Band lineup has offered an impressive set of fitness tracking features at an insanely affordable price. And Xiaomi has added new features with each annual update. Last year's Mi Band 6 brought several improvements over the Mi Band 5, including a larger and more vibrant display, an SpO2 sensor, more dedicated workout modes, and better battery life. According to a new leak, the upcoming Mi Band 7 will take things a step further and offer an even larger display, AOD support, built-in GPS, a Smart Alarm feature, and more.

Xiaomi’s Mi Band is one of the most popular fitness trackers in the entry-level segment and the company keeps on setting a new benchmark with each new release. The Mi Band 5, which launched in China in June before subsequently hitting the international markets, holds the fort as the most feature-packed fitness tracker that Xiaomi has to offer for now. But that is set to change as work is already underway for its successor in the form of the Mi Band 6.

If you're looking for a fitness tracker that doesn't break the bank, then you've probably stumbled upon the Mi Band while shopping online. The Mi Band is a line of affordable, fitness-centric wearables sold under the Xiaomi brand, though they're made by Huami, a leading company in wearable technology. The Mi Band 4 launched in China in June, and it brought a 0.95-inch colored AMOLED display, voice assistant, 20-day battery life, NFC, up to 5ATM water resistance, and much more for a price of around ~$33. A week later, the fitness tracker went on sale in Europe (though without NFC or the voice assistant) for ~$40. Now, we're hearing that Huami is working on the next smart band, which will likely just be called the Xiaomi Mi Band 5.

Xiaomi is a technology company that sells a wide range of products. Android enthusiasts know of the company for its smartphones and tablets but Xiaomi also sells things like air purifiers, desk lamps, laser projectors, electric scooters, and more. The company also sells these products in a large number of markets with some regions being restricted from certain products (Xiaomi not selling smartphones on its U.S. website is a good example of this). If you buy the Mi Band 4 in China then it comes with working NFC and voice activation but if you buy it in Europe then neither of these features currently work.
