In February this year, Tasker received a significant update on the beta channel (v5.12.3) that added sleep tracking automation to the app. The feature used Google's Sleep API to centralize sleep detection processing in a battery-efficient manner and helped users easily track their sleeping state using the app. The feature is now rolling out on the stable channel, and you can try it out right away.

The Sleeping state feature is now live in Tasker 5.12.18, which has started rolling out to users via the Google Play Store. As seen in the beta release, the feature can help you easily monitor your sleep using inputs from your phone's light and motion sensors. Check out the video attached below to see how you can track your sleep data with the new feature.

Along with the new sleep tracking feature, the latest Tasker update adds a new Favorite Actions menu that lets you easily add your favorite actions with a single click. The update also brings external storage support on devices running Android 11 and above, Array Functions, and much more. Check out the full changelog for the latest Tasker update in the section below.
