The Mobvoi TicWatch Pro LTE/4G launched this past July as a powerful Wear OS device that can be connected at all times. In my review, I talked about how the TicWatch Pro LTE is a great piece of hardware held back by Google's Wear OS software. Mobvoi has done a ton of work on their end to overcome this and the latest addition is sleep tracking.

Sleep tracking has been in the pipeline for the TicWatch Pro before the LTE variant was even announced. There are, of course, 3rd-party apps that can be used to track your sleep with a Wear OS device, but Mobvoi's solution is much smarter. Apps like Sleep as Android require the user to manually start tracking, but Mobvoi is using AI to do this automatically.

  • Proactive Sleep Tracking: Utilizing artificial intelligence, TicSleep automatically detects and tracks your sleep without manually tappingany buttons. You can gain insight into your sleep by simply wearing your TicWatch to bed.
  • Sleep Cycle Tracking with Heart Rate Monitor: Using the rich sensors from the TicWatch Pro line of smartwatches, your TicWatchprovides you with insights into your sleep cycles and delivers an in-depth analysis of the time you spent sleeping, along with your heart rateduring every stage of your sleep cycle. You can review your sleep cycle from the TicSleep watch face and more in the Mobvoi smartphoneapp.
  • TicSleep Watch App Interface: To stay on track with your sleep conditions, the TicSleep watch app interface allows you to see your lastnight's total sleep time and compare it with your 7-day weekly average. You can also keep track of your sleep cycle and sleeping heart ratedirectly from your watch face.
  • Smart alarm: TicSleep monitors your sleep cycle and wakes you with a subtle, customizable vibration while you’re in a state of light sleep.
  • Sleep data history: Aside from just getting daily briefings on your sleep condition, you can view your historical sleep data and track anychanges in your sleep cycle on a weekly basis.

TicSleep is available on the TicWatch Pro (Bluetooth-only and LTE models). Mobvoi specifically said it will roll out to those devices first, which may mean it will come to other TicWatch devices as well. Users can download the TicSleep app from the Google Play Store right now. To celebrate the launch, Mobvoi is discounting both watches as well. The LTE model is now $279 and the Bluetooth-only model is $199.
