If you have gotten your hands on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 (device codename: lavender), you will be glad to know that an unofficial build of TWRP is now available for this phone. This recovery build opens up the possibility to flash custom ROMs, kernels and GSIs on the device, and makes it so much easier to mod your device. Do note that you would need an unlocked bootloader to flash TWRP, and Xiaomi’s official unlock procedure requires you to wait for 15 days after initiating the bootloader unlock to actually unlock the device.
