Nova Launcher Update Brings Lollipop Functionality and Feel

One of the most popular third party launcher on Android, Nova Launcher, has just received an update to version 3.2. The new stable version of this great and lightweight application brings multiple optimizations and fixes, as well as an Android 5.0 Lollipop overall UI feel.

Many of this update’s changes are hidden deep under the hood, so you need to know where to find them. Kevin Barry, known to many of you as XDA Senior Member [email protected] added a short changelog to his Google+. What’s new in Nova Launcher?

Lollipop Circle Folder Animation (Settings – Folder – Transition Animation)
Lollipop Scroll indicator (Settings – Desktop – Scroll Indicator)
Lollipop Icon Theme for Calculator, Clock, Contacts, Downloads, Email, Dialer, Settings and SMS (Settings – Look Feel – Icon Theme)

Optimizations and fixes

The changes are not limited only to Android 4.3 and newer, and you can see them on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. If you can’t wait for actual Lollipop to hit your device, you can enjoy some of the Material Design-inspired animations with this latest update of Nova Launcher.

You can grab the application by visiting the official Nova Launcher thread. Remember to use the stable branch of the application. The update should also hit the Play Store any moment, so be prepared to see the new version of the launcher heading your way.
