Update: AT&T, Sprint, and T-Mobile have now shared their LG G8 launch details as well (below).

The LG G8 ThinQ was one of the many devices (including others from LG) announced at MWC earlier this year. The company did not share pricing or availability details at the time and we've been patiently waiting ever since. Today, Verizon has announced when they will offer this phone and they have a few promotions to go with it.

According to Verizon, the full retail price of the LG G8 is $840. That's slightly cheaper than the mid-size Galaxy S10, which is $899. Pre-orders for the device will open up on April 1st and it will officially launch on April 11th. Verizon has up to $1,000 in saving if you qualify for their offers:

  • Get up to $450 off a new LG G8 when trading in your smartphone and adding a new line (existing customers get $200 when you trade in your old phone and upgrade to a LG G8).
  • Receive a $200 prepaid Mastercard when you switch to Verizon and purchase a new LG G8 on a Verizon device payment plan and activate the phone on an eligible Verizon unlimited plan.
  • Get $350 off a new LG G8 when you purchase it on a Verizon device payment plan and activate a new line.
    • All three offers can be combined for savings up to $1,000.
    • Promotional discount given as monthly bill credits.
    • Trade-in must be in good working and cosmetic condition.
    • Prepaid card mailed within 8 weeks after receipt of claim.
  • In addition, if you purchase a LG G8 and a $99.99 or $149.99 accessory bundle you can get a $100 Verizon e-gift card.

Update: More carriers

Following shortly behind Verizon, the other three big US carriers (via AndroidPolice) have shared their LG G8 launch details as well:

AT&T customers can pre-order starting tomorrow (March 29th). Customers who purchase the phone on a 30-month Next payment plan (with service of $50 or more per month) will get monthly bill credits totaling the full price of the device.

Sprint pre-orders will also begin on March 29th with a retail price of $840. Customers can pay $15 per month on the 18-month Flex lease and own the device with six additional payments of $35. When it's all said an done, that's a $270 discount.

T-Mobile pre-orders won't begin until April 5th, but they're offering $200 off right out of the gate for a price of $619. Customers can get up to $310 in bill credits by trading in a qualifying device.
