Which Nexus Phone Should Get “Refreshed” With a 2016 Hardware Upgrade?

We love Nexus devices: each brought a familiar yet new Android experience. Nexus devices are also renowned for either their innovative design, their great price-points, or the overall consistency of the user experiences they brought.

Many of us would even go through OnePlus’ invite system (!) if it meant we could relive our favorite Nexus experience but with the latest processor, more RAM, a better camera and/or a bigger battery. Who knows, it could happen! And because of that, we ask you:

Which Nexus phone would you like to see updated with 2016 hardware, and why? Would you buy said Nexus if you could?
