Xiaomi Black Shark Helo forums are now open
It’s still unclear if the mobile gaming smartphone market is a niche or here to stay, but we’re continuing to see companies releasing new devices. After months of the phone being announced, we started to see some activity with the ASUS ROG Phone and just this week the Black Shark Helo from Xiaomi was announced. This is the successor of the company’s original Black Shark gaming smartphone and the market is starting to fill up with competitors. Sony tried their hand at this niche back in 2011, and recently Razer and ASUS are seeing if there is still life left in the market.
The Xiaomi Black Shark Helo doesn’t have a fancy 120Hz display like the Razer Phone 2, but it does focus on keeping thermal throttling down by using a built-in liquid cooling setup which features 2 liquid cooling pipes that are said to reduce the CPU’s temperature by 12 degrees. If you’re interested in this device, the XDA forums for the Black Shark Helo are open now!
