The Xiaomi Mi Box has been a popular choice for people looking for an affordable Android TV box. The device is capable of 4K video playback, has Dolby Digital Plus and DTS Surround Sound, all for around $70. If you're in the U.S., you may not have realized the Mi Box is actually the Xiaomi Mi Box 3. We've already seen the Xiaomi Mi Box 4, but it looks like it will be called the Mi Box S.

The Mi Box 4 was just added to the list of Google Play Certified devices. As you can see, the model "MIBOX4" has the marketing name "MiBox S." This follows their marketing strategy for the previous generation in the U.S. Since it already passed through the FCC, we know it's coming to the U.S.

The Mi Box 4 looks to be very similar to the previous model. One of the biggest differences is the remote. It has a microphone for Google Assistant and a dedicated Netflix button. We expect the box to launch with Android Oreo since the company finally rolled it out a couple of months ago. The Mi Box S should be another great affordable option for people looking to get an Android TV device in their home.
