If Android modding is a mountain, custom ROMs might be the peak. It doesn't get much more hardcore than installing a custom operating system on your phone. The only thing that might be more intense is dual custom ROMs. That's exactly what XDA Senior Members Shahan_mik3 and vasishath have done with MultiROM on the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.

MultiROM is a multi-boot mod that can boot any Android ROM and systems like Ubuntu Touch. It can boot from internal memory and USB drives via OTG cable. Every time you boot up your device, you can choose which ROM to run. ROMs are installed and managed via modified TWRP recovery. Check out more about this mod at the forum link below.

Features:

  • Multiboot any number of Android ROMs
  • Restore nandroid backup as secondary ROM
  • Boot from USB drive attached via OTG cable
