Similarly to the Moto G being the series of devices that Motorola sells in the millions, Xiaomi's Redmi and Redmi Note series are incredibly popular around the world. Each release usually involves multiple variants, with each one trying to target a specific market or price point. We first reported on the Redmi Note 6 Pro earlier this month thanks to some leaked photos (and a hands-on video) that were uploaded online. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro has now been officially announced and it will be equipped with the quad camera setup that had been previously leaked.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro Specifications
We've seen a lot of different rumors when it comes to the release of the Xiaomi Redmi Note 6 Pro. The photos passed around in the leak earlier this month did seemingly confirm the 6.26-inch display with its 19:9 aspect ratio. It did back up previous rumors of it sporting a 4,000mAh capacity battery. Lastly, it also showed that the smartphone would come with four cameras (to which Xiaomi is calling it a "4-AI system") as it would have 2 on the front and 2 on the back.
We now know that all of those specifications are true and that it would also have the Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 SoC running the show with its Adreno 509 GPU. It's being reported by 91mobiles that this launch event isn't mentioning the 3GB variant of the device at all. We've seen the rumors that it will come in 3GB and 4GB RAM options (which are both currently on sale by resellers), but that version may only make it into certain markets. Connectivity wise the Redmi Note 6 Pro does come with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, and GPS. Fans of the 3.5mm headphone port can also be happy knowing that it is included as well.

It's unclear when Xiaomi will bring the Redmi Note 6 to other markets, but they are currently pricing it at THB 6,990 (which translates to Rs 15,599 and USD 215). The device will be available in Black, Blue, and Rose Gold.
